Kuk Sool Won Korea Trip
9/18/2007 11:43:54 AM

I noticed that http://www.kuksoolwon.com had a PDF document about the 2009 trip to Korea, including the 70th birthday celebration of Kuk Sa Nym.

It's amazing that for only $2500/person you can fly half way across the world, attend 3 days of training, see the sights, eat, and get a hotel room.  I'm definitely signing up with my daughter, we're looking forward to seeing where Kuk Sool Won originated, meeting people from around the world and experience all the wonder of Korea.

I've also made my travel arrangements to make it to the Texas Tournament on November 10.  I'm not sure if I'll compete or judge yet, Sa Bub Nym Mitchell in Peoria mentioned that you have to judge at least one tournament before you can get promoted to 2nd Dahn.  Sure, I've only been a black belt since June, but it would be nice to get that judging requirement out of the way, and I can't imagine a better place to do it than the world tournaments.

Hope everyone is doing great, we'll see you in our travels!

KSWSchools Lite
8/17/2007 5:04:07 AM

Good morning!

I am pleased to announce a new product offering at KSWSchools.com.  I understand that some schools may not be looking for much more than an avenue to advertise their school and get themselves noticed on the world wide web.  Rather than signing up for the full version of the KSWSchools web environment, I am offering a scaled down version for half the price.

The KSWSchools Lite Site will provide your school with all of the information you need to advertise your school to potential students.  It will keep the "About Kuk Sool Won®" section, as well as the "School Info", "Instructor", "Calendar", "Location", and "Photo Gallery" pages.

While the standard website with all the bells and whistles remains at $1000/year*, this lite site version will only cost $500/year*!  Plus, if after a few months you want more, I will give give you a great deal to upgrade!

I hope that this gives some of the schools that were on the fence motivation to make the jump to the Web.  Kuk Sool Won® is a great martial art, and by getting the word out we'll only be making it greater!

* Military and University schools are still eligable for special discounts with the lite site model!

Kuk Sool Won of Peoria is Live!
8/12/2007 4:41:31 AM

I'm pleased to announce that Kuk Sool Won of Peoria (http://www.kswofpeoria.net) is now live on the KSWSchools.com web platform.  Though all of the student information hasn't been uploaded yet, the site is running and SBN Mitchell appears very happy with it.

There has also been interest from other schools to move to this platform, which I couldn't be happier about.

I am also happy to give military discounts to schools on military bases.  If Kuk Sool Won can help keep our country and soldiers safe, then how could I not?  It's just a small token of gratitude for all that they do for us.

I wish everyone a happy and safe time, and hope to see you at the Texas tournament in November.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Kuk Sool Won has been a labor of love for me for a long time. Training under Sah Bub Nym Ben Mitchell, owner of the Kuk Sool Won of Peoria school, these past 3 1/2 years has been an eye opening experience. He has pushed me to do things that I never dreamed of being able to do, and has shown me that there is still a lot to learn!

This website brings my two non-familial passions together...Kuk Sool Won and Web Development. I have been developing web pages since 1995, and I can honestly say that kswschools.com is the one I've been most excited to put together. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Let me know if there is anything you'd like to see added or changed. kswschools.com is here for you, hopefully to make your Kuk Sool Won experience as great as possible.
